Paying for School – Getting Started

Remember that there are many factors surrounding your college choice. And one of the most important ones is planning – in advance – how you will pay for your education. College costs continuously rise. That’s why it’s important to apply for scholarships and to understand what types of financial aid packages each school – and companies like us – can help you line up.

Check out our Financial Aid Guide and use it as a source for basic information. It may take you a while to get through it, but it covers most of the important facts about financial aid. Whether your parents are taking a major role in paying for your education or whether you’ll need to contribute a considerable amount, we can help.

Check with your school, local organizations that you or your parents belong to, your church, synagogue, or place of worship, and even your parents’ employers for scholarships they may be offering. You can also use our scholarship search tool to identify scholarships available across the nation.

We’ve even made it easy to fill out the FAFSA form online. Check out our financial aid tools, including a student loan calculator, debt/salary wizard, and budget calculator. And, if you need more information on loans, we make it easy for you to apply for loans online. This might not be as fun as researching life on campus, but your parents will appreciate it and you need this information to make a good decision.

Finally, we’ve included a college offer comparison worksheet that allows you to compare your financial aid offers side by side.
